Bharatanatyam Danseuse


Kiranmayee Madupu is a sought after solo bharatanatyam dancer from Hyderabad, India. She is not only an ICCR empanelled artiste but also empanelled by Ministry of Culture for the 'Festivals of India' program conducted in various the world and a youth member of International Dance Council (CID).

Kiranmayee is a disciple of Guru Hemamalini Arni, who carries the rare legacy of having learnt from the doyens, Smt. T. Balasaraswati (Padmabhushan awardee) and Sri Vazhuvoor Ramaiah Pillai (Padmashri Awardee), who need no introduction in the world of Indian classical arts.


Kiranmayee has performed in India and abroad including United Kingdom, France, Germany, Hungary, Russia and Sri Lanka. She has also been part of major dance festivals and Sabhas in all major cities and cultural towns in India. 


She is the founder of ‘Hema Arangam - The Golden Platform’, a cultural enterprise that provides Bharatanatyam and Carnatic Vocal lessons in Hyderabad and promotes all forms of performing and visual arts through innovative initiatives


Kiranmayee is an IT Engineer by education and she worked in the  multinational company Deloitte for 2 years. She quit the fast lane to take up Bharatanatyam full time, owing to her passion  for the art. She is also a carnatic vocalist, an accomplished painter and a freelance graphic designer among other things.


She has worked for SPICMACAY, an internationally established NGO. Through them, she has conducted several workshop demonstrations for underprivileged children in government schools in rural areas of Rajasthan, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. She has also performed for their prestigious Virasat Series concert’17.


She was invited by TED talks to speak about her journey so far at well-known education institution in Hyderabad.





Porous Earth

'Porous Earth' is a journey of a river traced through dance and poetry. Choreographed by Hemamalini Arni, this production is based on an English poem by IPS Officer Tejdeep Kaur Menon.

Porous Earth was premiered in Hyderabad in 2015, after which it was staged in prestigious venues both International and National such as The Ferenc Hopp Museum in Budapest for Ganga Danube Festival '18, Centre Mandapa in Paris, Bishop's College Auditorium in Colombo for the High Commission of India, Sri Lanka, NCPA, Mumbai & Hyderabad Arts Festival.

Stories of the Soil

‘Stories of the Soil’ is a unique presentation bringing the art of Abhinaya and story-telling together. It brings forth astonishing tales of Tamil folklore and addresses various burning issues of the society like untouchability, discrimination and caste system. 

This was presented in the Hyderabad Literary Festival'17 and Bharatanatyam choreography festival by LSHVA in Bangalore. 

Mayura Vahana

Mayura Vahana presented as a part of Divya Trilogy by reputed art consultant Usha Rk. Under the trilogy, Divya Vahana dealt into the concepts of Vahanas in the Hindu Philosophy. Kiranmayee presented Mayura Vahana, along side many well-known dancers in the country like Dakshina Vaidyanathan, Arupa Lahiry and Soundarya Srivatsa.
